Editorial policy

Our guides answer the questions clients ask the desk. This page states how they are sourced, written, reviewed and kept current.

Sources

Every figure, threshold and date in a guide comes from a primary source: the regulator (VARA, the Central Bank of the UAE), the official UAE government portal, or our own published pricing and procedures. Blogs and aggregators are not sources. Where a number cannot be verified, we write the rule without the number and mark it for verification rather than fill the gap with a plausible figure.

Time-sensitive claims carry an "as of" date, and every guide lists its sources with the date they were accessed.

How guides are written

Guides are drafted by the dealing desk with AI-assisted tools used for structure and language. Before publication, a named human — the Head of Dealing — reads every line, verifies every number against the primary source, and approves or rejects the page. The reviewer is named on each guide. AI tools do not publish anything on their own; the byline and the accountability are human.

Review

Each guide is reviewed by Omar Al Nuaimi, Head of Dealing and a Responsible Individual on our VARA licence, and by Sarah Whitfield, Senior Dealer. Their names and roles appear on every article, and Omar's credentials are on his author page.

Updates and corrections

A guide is updated when a rule, rate or process it describes changes, or when it is older than six months. The "Last updated" date changes only when the content changes. Factual errors are corrected publicly and logged on the corrections page.

Independence

We sell one service, and the guides point to it — that link is stated in the open. No guide accepts payment, placement or approval from any third party, and we do not review or rank providers we have a financial relationship with, other than ourselves, clearly disclosed. See how we make money.
