Corrections policy and log

When a guide is wrong, we fix it publicly. This page is the policy and the running log.

The policy

If a figure, rule or statement in a guide is wrong, we correct it as soon as it is confirmed — not at the next scheduled refresh. Every correction lists the date, the page, what it said before and what it says now. We do not edit history silently.

Style or clarity edits that do not change meaning are not logged. Anything that could change a reader's decision is.

Report an error

Errors can be reported to [email protected] with the page URL and the line in question. A dealer, not an automated inbox, reads these.
